ANOTHER SOUL ON THE WAY TO SALVATION!!

Email from 8-19-2013

Hey so this week was good, we ended up doing a lot more work because my comp wasn’t sick this week so that was good. But we are still trying to get back into the swing of things. So just to inform you, YES Ana Maria did get baptized on Sunday, and it was actually the missionary who started her teaching that baptized her, we tried getting it so that my comp could do it, but she chose otherwise, but I talked with him and he said it was still a good experience. So that’s good, I remember my first baptism and it was amazing!! On Sunday, so yesterday, I got the chance to confirm her in sacrament meeting, I love confirming people I can always feel the sprit while doing it, and it’s nice to know that you are helping someone else feel the spirit.
So about her baptism, we don’t have gas in the tank right now in the chapel, so we had to just use cold water in the font, but the cold water here is like ice, so she got out and was FREEZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So we got to figure out how to get gas put in that tank, I hope the bishop figures something out soon! But all in all the baptism was good.
So I can’t believe mom and dad that it is your 33rd wedding anniversary today!!!!!!!! That is so awesome!!!! I hope that you guys have an awesome day!
So sorry if I don’t answer all the question I can’t change pages a lot because the internet is super slow! So just to inform you, I sent home my papers for my driver’s license! I sent them last Wednesday so I don’t know when they will get there, but I hope soon so we can get all of that taken care of.
So this week we started giving classes of piano, and also of English, and we have had some good turn outs! The people here really want to learn, especially piano, because there aren’t piano teachers here in Juliaca like at all, so it’s nice to help out a little bit.  And I think we are going to be able to get a lot of investigators from it!
So this week I am sending you some pictures of thing my comp and I did so one night we made a fort in our room because I finished all the planning that night and we were very bored.
Also, last night we had an appointment with a new convert, and she wanted to know how to make food from the United States, so we showed her how to cook French toast, and so for the first time in 9 months I had French toast and it was absolutely one of the best tasting things ever!!!!!!! We even got syrup and powdered sugar.
So this week, we should have another baptism, we have someone that he name is Katia, and she has been coming to activities for a year with her friend but no one ever taught her, so we taught and challenged and she has everything ready to be able to get baptized this Saturday.
This week we were teaching someone, and we decided to teach about the restoration, and we taught, and I felt like I should challenge them to baptism at the end of the lesson, so I did, and the 3 of them accepted!!!!! It was awesome I felt the spirit so strong in that moment!! I honestly love moments like that on the mission where I have the chance to follow the sprit! And I get the chance to listen to those promptings and help people change their lives for the better! I have learned how important it is to follow the spirit, because without it we aren’t able to do anything! When we follow the spirit we listen to the will of god! And that is how we can know what we need to do in our lives! What spiritual promptings have you received this week? and have you followed them?
I am hoping to be able to share more exciting stories next week because we have a ton planned for this week! So look forward to next week! Also if you didn’t know this is the last week of the transfer!!! Wahoo!!!!! My child made it through his first transfer in the field!!!!
But that’s about all that happened this week, and I am running out of time and I need to send off a couple more emails, I love you all so much and I hope and pray for you every day!!! Have a fantastic week!!
Love Elder Goaslind!!
